Vacancy Description:

Facilities Supervisor post. (Post approximately for 3 months) Thamesmead

The Birchmere site is operational 24/7. It contains the Royal Borough of Greenwich fleet as well as workshops, offices, canteen, vehicle wash and reception.
The role of this post will be to supervise the pool of Security guards that works shifts to cover 24 hrs. 7 days a week including Bank holidays.
This post will be the out of hours contact person for the guard on duty and for any emergencies with in the complex.
This post also includes carrying out all Facilities function within the complex. This will entail fault reporting, checking that repairs have been completed, carrying out remedial repairs, issuing ID badges, authorising time sheets & invoices, car park patrols, reporting illegal parking, liaising with service users, covering Reception duties, covering for the Facilities Manager in their absence, monitoring patrol sheets including incident reports and other administrative duties including email. This post will also carry out H&S checks within the complex and will oversee contractors while they are on site and will carry out the duties of the deputy Fire Marshal.


Requirements for this post:

Must have the SIA badge in both CCTV and Door supervision.
Experience of Facilities Management.
Experience in H&S.
Experience in Managing staff.
Be able to use a computer, write memos and send emails.
Have good customer care and be able to communicate on all levels.
Working hours are: Mon to Fri from 08.00 to16.00 but will need to be flexible
